It Started as a Vigil to End Human Concentration Camps
Our Mission: FREEDOM
|
We are a coalition of people dedicated to human rights, and the fundamental principle behind democracy that all human beings have a right to life, liberty and dignity.
We are partnering with local communities and organizations who believe that these fundamental rights are not negotiable and are willing to protect them. On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Concentration Camps, brought hundreds of people to locations in New Jersey, in solidarity with the over 788 locations worldwide, as well as to concentration camps across country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by migrants. In the weeks since Lights for Liberty was announced, our aim has been to partner with, center on, and amplify all those impacted by and all those who are front-line advocates for those in U.S. detention camps. Our host organizations are all small immigration rights organizations that work every day, and have been working for years, with those who are directly impacted by this administration’s racist immigration and detention policies. |
